It’s been a big year in the film industry: “Barbenheimer” broke box office records, both Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA members went on strike and indies, documentaries and foreign films shined while franchises finally showed signs of decline. The awards season culminates this Sunday with the Oscars, the crème de la crème of prizes for many actors, directors and other moviemakers. While many are filling out their ballots, we’re planning our party menus.
