Dave Barry: We Floridians are hopeful (for a meteor strike)

Greetings from the Sunshine State! The mood down here, as we anticipate the 2024 presidential election, is one of hopefulness. Specifically, we’re hoping that a large, previously undetected meteor will strike the planet before November. Granted, this would mean the end of human civilization, but at least we wouldn’t have to go through with the election.
