Cambodia’s Prince Norodom Ranariddh, a former prime minister and the son of the late King Norodom Sihanouk, died Nov. 28 in France. He was 77.
Cambodian information minister Khieu Kanharith announced the death on social media, citing a member of Cambodia’s royal family. The cause of death was not specified.
Prince Ranariddh had been in ill health since an auto accident in Cambodia in 2018. An aide to the prince, speaking on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to speak to the media, said he went to Paris in late 2019 for medical treatment of a broken pelvis.
