Weather models and forecasters alike are homing in on mid-December for a change in the weather pattern in the Eastern United States, potentially one leading toward colder and snowier conditions.

Little wintry weather threatens the D.C. area at the moment, as a parade of storm systems passes through the West. But by December’s second week, the mild weather in place now will most likely fade as wintry gears turn in the latitudes to our north.
