The Washington Post today announced the best places to work in the Washington D.C. area in its fourth annual Top Workplaces survey. In a survey conducted in partnership with survey firm WorkplaceDynamics, The Post asked people about their employers to identify 150 of the highest ranked organizations in the region. This year’s honorees include government contractors, law firms, nonprofits, schools, and businesses from D.C.’s growing service sector.

More than 3,000 companies were invited to participate and 303 were surveyed. More than 52,000 employees participated in the survey questionnaires.

The Washington Post hosted an awards ceremony on Thursday, June 15 to recognize the 150 top-ranked companies. The full list along with additional content is available on The Post site. This Sunday’s edition of The Washington Post will include a special Top Workplaces magazine, which includes profiles of the winning companies.

Here are the top three organizations within the large, mid-size and small company categories:

Large companies:

  1. Great American Restaurants
  2. Hitt Contracting
  3. Keller Williams Capital Properties

Mid-size companies:

  1. Bates White Economic Consulting
  2. St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School
  3. Halfaker and Associates

Small companies:

  1. FTS International
  2. ThunderCat Technology
  3. IntelliGenesis
