Critical injury in apartment fire in Southeast

A fire in Southeast Washington Friday night left one person in critical condition, according to authorities. They said CPR was under way in an effort to revive the victim.

The fire broke out in the 3800 block of V Street SE, according to the DC Fire and EMS department. They said the victim was found in an apartment on the top floor of a two story apartment house.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
