Fried chicken sandwiches make their debut today at Shake Shack

There's another new fried chicken sandwich in town. The Chick'n Shack makes its nationwide debut at Shake Shack today, meaning you can try this latest menu addition locally at the Tysons Corner, Union Station, F Street and Dupont Circle outposts starting at 11 a.m. There's also a shop in Baltimore's Inner Harbor.

The sandwich centers around a buttermilk-marinated chicken breast that's coated in batter and flour before being fried. It's garnished with pickles, lettuce and a buttermilk herb mayo and, like all Shake Shack sandwiches, is served on a Martin's potato roll.

In case you're curious, according to nutritional info posted on the chain's site, the Chick'n Shack ($6.29) will set you back 595 calories. The buttermilk herb mayo is listed separately at 85 calories per serving.

The fried chicken sandwich first debuted at several Shake Shack locations in Brooklyn last summer, but, hey, this won't be the first time we're playing catch-up to those cool kids.
